Service and Installation Technician - Permanent Position with Benefits

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00/HR

The Service and Installation Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, training, troubleshooting, and repair of extrusion machinery at client locations. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is vital for ensuring optimal performance of our clients' extrusion operations. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously while delivering outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel as necessary to assist with installations and provide troubleshooting support to customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create high-quality installation documentation, minimizing travel when possible.
  • Work alongside Engineering, Lab, and Sales teams to ensure customers are adequately prepared to operate our equipment.
  • Comprehend and assist in the preparation of all technical documentation, including manuals.
  • Conduct internal machine assembly and testing.
  • Engage in lab work or customer trials as needed.
  • Operate CNC machinery when time allows.

Field Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Educate customer personnel on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all service activities, including maintenance logs, customer feedback, and suggestions for machine enhancements.
