Position Title: Part-time Housekeeper - Weekends

Objective:
To carry out daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the community.
  • Adhere to the housekeeping schedule as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Perform cleaning duties in all common areas.
  • Attend to resident rooms and bathrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and bed-making as per the established schedule.
  • Understand and utilize Material Safety Data Sheets for all cleaning agents and supplies.
  • Participate in annual training sessions.
  • Comply with Residents' Rights regulations.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and storage of equipment and supply carts.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of laundry and linen supplies, reporting needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
  • Engage in orientation, training, and staff meetings, contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Follow established work and cleaning schedules.
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Coordinate laundry services with other departments as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Exhibit patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards elderly residents.
  • Physical capability to lift, shift, and assist with items weighing over twenty-five pounds.
  • Ability to squat, reach, and stretch comfortably, with endurance for prolonged walking and standing.
