Work Schedule:
This position operates on a part-time, on-call basis, requiring a minimum of 18 shifts monthly, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours availability.
Shift Availability:
Shifts are from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with additional weekend and holiday shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position Overview:
Foster supportive relationships with clients while assisting children and families in addressing their needs and de-escalating crisis situations, with the goal of achieving stability and permanency.
Compensation:
On-call stipend per shift and $16.48 per hour for actual hours worked (including crisis response, training, documentation, etc.).
A Day in the Life of a Community Outreach Advocate:
- Respond promptly to crisis calls within 60 minutes
- Engage with children, teens, adults, and families facing immediate crises
- Provide effective intervention, stabilization, de-escalation, and conflict resolution using a trauma-informed and family-centered approach
- Document and submit all services in a timely manner (Crisis-Safety Plan)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in child welfare is preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of a DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess an insured vehicle
- Minimum of three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
- Successful completion of all required training for the position
