About the Role

Hologic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Engineer to join our team in Newark, DE. As a key member of our Central Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet regulatory standards and compliance certifications are obtained and maintained for global markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute product compliance strategies, policies, and processes to ensure regulatory standards are met.
  • Work closely with regulatory agencies and provide technical guidance on compliance testing, scheduling, and definition.
  • Lead and coordinate compliance tasks with internal functions and external test agencies & labs.
  • Act as a technical advisor and provide guidance to Program Management, Regulatory Assurance, and other R&D functions.
  • Participate in project core teams and drive compliance efforts.
  • Report status of compliance activities and support Marketing & Regulatory's efforts to identify applicable regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Create Compliance Program Plans and oversee EMC, environmental pre-compliance and compliance testing at Certified Test Labs.
  • Develop EMC & Safety Certification test plans, Verification Procedures and Reports.
  • Define compliance re-testing needs based on design changes.
Requirements
  • Understanding of device product manufacturing and product development & lifecycle processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility of systems.
  • Knowledge of EMC design concepts and design practices.
  • Proficient at using laboratory test equipment used in electrical & RF engineering work.
  • Ability to test and debug medium complexity EMC issues.
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple projects and provide guidance and interpretation of standards as applied to Hologic products.
  • Demonstrate logical thinking and mature engineering judgement.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Minimum Non-Technical Degree: College Degree.
  • Preferred Minimum Technical/Advanced Degree: Technical Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with compliance testing in a product device field and international certifications.
  • Experience with wireless technologies including WiFi and RFID.
  • Experience working with electrical test equipment including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and signal generators is beneficial.
