Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an organized filing system for patient records, including the generation of identification numbers and the management of chart retrieval.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing information, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, or initiating necessary follow-up actions.
  • Schedule patient appointments and accurately input details into the scheduling system.
  • Conduct reminder communications with patients to ensure attendance.
  • Welcome and guide patients, visitors, and vendors upon arrival.
  • Verify and update patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate referrals for patients to specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Prepare billing information for processing and manage daily financial reconciliations.
  • Collect payments from patients and ensure accurate cash reporting.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze information effectively.
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, maintaining professionalism and respect in all interactions.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and manage challenging situations with care.
  • Adhere to annual competency requirements and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; a one-year certificate in medical office support is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a customer service or front desk role; experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
