Job Description

Vivid Impact is seeking a skilled Print Production Team Lead to coordinate and oversee the production workflow within the On-Demand printing department.

This role involves supervising a skilled team and operating printing equipment as needed to ensure high-quality output, optimal efficiency, and timely delivery.

The Team Lead will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train department staff to build a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Identify skill gaps and facilitate cross-training to maintain operational flexibility.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain On-Demand printing equipment to meet production deadlines.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and upgrades to maximize uptime and ensure consistent performance.
  • Ensure materials meet internal quality standards and align with client specifications.
  • Address production issues promptly to avoid disruptions and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Work with other Team Leads, Schedulers, and Project Managers to align production schedules with demand.
  • Participate in production meetings to ensure department objectives align with company goals.
  • Manage storage and inventory levels to support ongoing production needs without delays.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies to optimize workflow.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and suggest process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in print production, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production setting, ideally within the printing industry.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of On-Demand printing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S workplace organization practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to handle shifting priorities and production deadlines.
