Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Vehicle Team Lead to join our team at Zobility. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for leading quality actions and ongoing product changes for the Escape and Lincoln Corsair vehicles at Louisville Assembly Plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality actions and ongoing product changes for the Escape and Lincoln Corsair vehicles at Louisville Assembly Plant.
  • Review incoming warranty claims data daily, review customer and dealership comments, work across skill teams to bin claims into proper binning categories, contact dealership/s for parts and repair diagnoses, participate in customer call back to ensure proper understanding of customer feedback, review returned parts for root cause analyses and develop Interim Containment and Permanent Corrective Actions.
  • Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analyses and other Quality related tasks.
  • Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches and lead cost reduction actions in current production vehicles.
  • Support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific sub-systems and work closely with Supplier partners for subsystem components to address quality concerns.
  • Lead engineering trials and the implementation of running changes for the sub-system.
  • Issue engineering Alerts and initiate and/or pursue authorization of engineering Concerns for product changes to support Quality, Cost and waste-avoidance objectives.
  • Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product Quality.
  • Maintain sub-system or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level Quality documents (SAQ, Top 20 concerns).
  • Make presentations to various levels of upper management (weekly VRT report out, Vehicle Quality Reviews, Engineering Managers reviews).

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interface well with Customers, Plant personnel and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CAD systems.
  • Python programming a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of Engineering Experience preferred.
