Andrews Cooper Technology LLC is seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in designing and developing complex automated systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for allocating resources, managing tools and processes, and leading direct reports to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Allocation: Grow and develop your team's capacity and capabilities to meet project demands, hire AC-caliber candidates, and allocate resources to projects.
- Tools & Processes: Identify and manage team tools and resources, develop and adhere to standards, processes, and best practices that build and sustain the AC brand.
- Management of Direct Reports: Support and grow direct reports through coaching, mentorship, and training, address performance issues, and facilitate performance reviews.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university.
- 6+ years of experience designing complex automated systems as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Skilled at communicating and creating a cohesive team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work closely with and maintain healthy relationships through fast-paced project cycles.
- Ability and means to travel up to 40%.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in discrete automation, controls engineering, systems integration, and/or robotics.
- Experience in leading technical interviews and candidate screening.
- Comfortable having difficult conversations.
- Leads by example.
- Enjoys mentorship and coaching.
- Experience in consumer products or medical devices industries.
- Proficiency in presenting engineering designs, proposals, and reports.
- Experience in several of the following environments: PLC, HMI, Industrial Robotics, and Virtual Machines.

Salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $90,000.00 - $160,000.00.
