Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Inpria Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and services at the most favorable terms for our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business needs
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure supply needs are met
  • Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations
  • Drive the proficient use of the ERP/MRP system
  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices
  • Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree in Materials Management, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing or buyer experience
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, self-motivator, and superior organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and improve procurement processes
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to visit both domestic and foreign suppliers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
