Job Summary

This is an overnight shift position as a Night Auditor for the Doubletree Hotel. The Night Auditor performs bookkeeping functions and end-of-day accounting duties, in addition to front desk attendant responsibilities, including guest services and satisfaction, checking guests in and out, reservations, and answering phones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit daily guest ledger to verify and balance entries, investigating and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Create daily deposits and ensure correct starting cash amounts at the front desk for the morning.
  • Update reservations systems with occupancy information as guests check in and out.
  • Provide administrative, reception, and program support to management and staff.
  • Manage phone activity, providing general knowledge to callers.
  • Act as front desk attendant during night hours, ensuring guest satisfaction with service requests.
  • Maintain a safe environment and respond to guest complaints accordingly.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, with basic accounting skills.
  • Clerical skills, including typing, filing, office machine operations, cash register operation, record maintenance, and multitasking.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to interact with diverse people, organize priorities, learn new skills, and problem-solve.
  • Excellent interpersonal, administrative, telephone, and communication skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Moving about on foot, frequent movements within the unit, bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs regularly, 30-35 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for the entire workday and climb stairs regularly.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and monitor phones for extended periods.
  • Ability to withstand indoor and outdoor temperatures.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including understanding customer and coworker speech and speaking clearly in English.
  • Communicating and receiving verbal communication with other employees.
