About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Recovery Specialist to provide direct oversight and support services to chronically mentally disabled and/or co-occurring clients making the transition from institutional care to independent living settings.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Provide daily oversight to residents involved in the program, ensuring their safety and well-being">
  • Monitor resident's medication administration as scheduled">
  • Complete daily documentation as required by the program">
  • Facilitate monthly activities and groups based on life skills assessments">
  • Assist residents in developing daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, budgeting, personal hygiene, sex education, and other areas">
  • Report all changes in behavior or mental state to appropriate team members">
  • Complete active discharge planning with residents as needed with direction from the case manager or designee">
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and other techniques to enhance residents' success of recovery">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or other higher education preferred">
  • A minimum of one year of behavioral health/human services related experience required">
  • Previous experience working with individuals 18 to 25 years old who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis is preferred">
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required">
  • Must be competent user of technology including email, agency intranet, and the electronic client record">
  • Current, valid driver's license required">
  • Candidate must be CPR/First Aid certified or eligible">

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $38,108 - $40,416 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek and a $18.54 per hour rate.
