Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for maintaining personnel files, performing clerical tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files for active and terminated employees.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and applicants, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Locate and retrieve files and materials as requested, ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies.
  • Support the HR team in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
  • One year of office or clerical experience required; previous experience in human resources or healthcare preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
