Director of Asset Management - Renewable Energy

RWT Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the strategic oversight and management of renewable energy assets. As a Director of Asset Management, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and financial returns of our energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the oversight of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, ensuring optimal operational performance and financial returns.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize profitability, including revenue generation, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze asset performance metrics, ensuring alignment with operational goals and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and market risks associated with the asset portfolio.
  • Manage and oversee Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts, and other agreements related to the assets.
  • Work with the finance team to forecast revenue, monitor cash flows, and ensure compliance with budgets.
  • Produce regular performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams across engineering, finance, legal, and operations to ensure the successful management of assets.
  • Ensure all assets are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate standards.
  • Mentor and lead a team of asset managers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, with at least 5 years in the renewable energy sector.
  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies, including solar and energy storage. Familiarity with energy market structures, regulatory frameworks, and financial modeling.
  • Proficient in analyzing performance metrics, conducting financial analyses, and utilizing asset management software tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • CFA, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
