About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Road/Truck Mechanic to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our diverse fleet of trucks and heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of trucks and heavy vehicles, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and tools, providing accurate assessments and repair recommendations.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed, ensuring minimal downtime for the fleet.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and inspections, following company protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely and efficient operation of the fleet.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a road/truck mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems specific to heavy vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, effective decisions, especially in emergency roadside situations.
  • Valid driver's license, with a CDL preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
