Kettering Health is a distinguished not-for-profit healthcare system comprising 13 medical centers and over 120 outpatient facilities dedicated to serving the southwest Ohio region. Facility Overview:

Kettering Health Dayton has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the Dayton area for over 90 years, previously known as Grandview Medical Center. Our facility offers a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular care, surgical services, and trauma care. Recent expansions have enhanced our Emergency Department and heart & vascular services, adding a new catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab. We proudly partner with local organizations to promote health and wellness within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling the assigned medical center to safeguard lives and property, enforce laws, and deter criminal activity. Your role will involve:

  • Maintaining a visible presence to foster a sense of security within the medical center.
  • Responding to various complaints and emergency calls.
  • Conducting interviews with complainants, suspects, and victims.
  • Making arrests and restraining suspects when necessary.
  • Intervening in disputes and providing assistance to medical staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License.
  • Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within three months of application.
  • Ability to obtain the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate upon hire.
  • Capability to acquire and maintain the Secretary of State Police Commission.
  • Successful completion of the annual OPOTA firearms qualification course.
  • CPR certification upon hire.
  • Knowledge of relevant public safety regulations in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • No disqualifying offenses as per Ohio Administrative Code.
