Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Security Officer - Contractor Program Security Officer to join our team at Applied Research Associates. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of industrial security and compliance regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and enforce industrial security and compliance programs, including classified contracts and personnel clearances
  • Conduct and prepare for audits and interface with auditors as needed
  • Develop and administer security education training and conduct foreign travel briefings and debriefings
  • Manage security documentation, including DD254s and personnel clearances
  • Conduct in-processing of new employees and execute SF 312 Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
  • Manage personnel clearances and process visit access requests (VARs) in Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Provide personnel security guidance and assist employees in managing their clearances
  • Manage Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems and maintain an effective document inventory and control program
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the SCIF area
  • Conduct annual self-inspections and provide corrective action plans to address deficiencies
  • Conduct security inquiries, identify suspected security infractions and violations, and develop reports and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Assist in the preparation, review, coordination, and execution of Operations Security (OPSEC) and transportation security plans
  • Develop, coordinate, and submit for approval physical security documentation, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC)
Requirements
  • Top Secret Clearance with an investigation date in the last 6 years
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, or 7-9 years of related experience
  • FSO certification for Possessing Facilities
  • Experience interfacing with DCSA and other government representatives
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117-National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and Department of Defense regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Complete understanding and wide application of all Security functional areas
  • Related experience includes but is not limited to Industrial and Program security experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Closed Area Standards and Intelligence Community Directive 705
  • Knowledge of DoD Manuals volumes 1-4, ICD 705
  • Experience with NISS, DISS, SWFT, or other government applications
  • Experience with SharePoint
