Activity Security Representative II

The primary responsibility of the Activity Security Representative is to deliver multi-faceted security assistance to a client's facility and organization. This role entails providing daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct classification assessments of incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Support the upkeep of a document accountability database and related correspondence.
  • Manage the processing of classified mail and maintain receipt records.
  • Oversee the destruction of classified materials.
  • Handle magnetic media for accountability purposes.
  • Provide reproduction support for classified documents.
  • Maintain various daily logs for administrative functions related to document control.
  • Assist in processing inbound data and outbound data transfer files.
  • Transfer electronic data files to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive customer database with contact points.
  • Assist in researching, processing, filing, and managing inbound and outbound visit notices.
  • Escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs.
  • Assist in preparing facility access control badges.
  • Conduct entry and exit inspections.
  • Support the maintenance of facility access control systems, including visitor management.
  • Perform data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and keep all customer-sponsored billets and quota information updated.
  • Assist in maintaining personnel security files for all individuals within the supported element.
  • Adhere to and enforce the client's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide support for security awareness and educational initiatives.
  • Execute miscellaneous administrative support tasks as directed by the contractor site lead or Senior Security Representative.
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with relevant government personnel to ensure appropriate clearance actions.
  • Participate in security compliance inspections of government organizations and industry.
  • Implement Top Secret Control for accountable materials and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and/or process classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
  • Review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
  • Conduct reviews of candidates for SAP access using Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP.
  • Perform data entry and record checks in the Air Force Access Data System (AFADS) and maintain current access information.
  • Conduct indoctrinations.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is capped at 5 years.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
Certification Requirements:
  • Completion of DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training is required if performing personnel security functions.
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to navigate between buildings as required.
  • May involve sedentary work for at least 50% of the time.
  • Capacity to manage stress with professionalism and maturity.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership capabilities, with a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • All Level I & Level II positions require some experience with Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • All Level III positions require 2+ years of experience with Special Access Programs (SAP).
