As a Facilities Operations Supervisor, your primary duties encompass:

  • Setting a standard by exemplifying the values and behaviors aligned with the culture of Bozzuto.
  • Investing time in recruiting, mentoring, and providing both practical and theoretical training opportunities for technicians and community service associates.
  • Demonstrating care for our residents through prompt follow-ups and thorough resolution of their service requests.
  • Addressing maintenance challenges in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
  • Overseeing the preparation and turnover of apartments with meticulous attention to detail and efficiency to facilitate leasing and resident transitions.
  • Safeguarding the property’s value by consistently implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Enhancing the aesthetic appeal and safety of the community through regular upkeep, snow removal, and landscape maintenance.
  • Ensuring optimal operational efficiency for all property systems.
  • Complying with relevant building, county, and safety regulations while maintaining an accident-free environment.
  • Coordinating annual inspections of building systems as mandated by local authorities.
  • Leading cost-effective improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Establishing and managing vendor partnerships and projects within budget constraints.
  • Reinforcing staffing schedules to ensure continuous emergency support.
Qualifications:
  • A background in the trades with over 7 years of experience in facility and/or residential maintenance.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience with a proven record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Certifications in HVAC, EPA, and/or NAPE.
  • Understanding of risk management, OSHA, and MSDS protocols.
  • Advanced skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
  • Basic skills in carpentry, drywall, and painting.
  • Familiarity with complex mechanical systems such as central plants, split systems, boilers, and chillers.
  • A safety-oriented mindset and keen attention to detail.
  • A builder’s perspective (understanding systems as if you constructed them).
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • A polished professional appearance.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with various technology platforms and applications.
  • Availability for emergency situations, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • The physical capability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force consistently, climb stairs, use ladders, and work in diverse weather conditions.
