Job Overview

Position Summary:
Oversees and coordinates the daily functions of the Parker Store, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with the Director of Retail Operations to devise strategies aimed at enhancing service quality, boosting sales, and maximizing profitability through effective cost management. Responsible for establishing store policies and marketing initiatives that foster sales growth and expand the customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers both in-store and via phone, addressing their industrial and mobile hose/fitting requirements.
  • Engage in promotional activities to enhance store visibility and attract customers.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to offer effective solutions to customer inquiries.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and obtain certifications as required by management.
  • Collaborate with the external sales team and manufacturer representatives.
  • Process customer orders from inventory based on purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic hoses along with related fittings.
  • Support inventory management within the store.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring displays are organized, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Handle bulk picking, shipping, and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks and verifying merchandise.
  • Organize and categorize merchandise on shelves or bins according to established systems.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in packing lists.
  • Document inventory transactions in the control system.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts.
  • Travel to various store locations to provide backup support as needed.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not entail supervisory duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with construction or industrial equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industrial hose crimping machinery is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as purchase orders and shipping lists.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and calculations.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting and familiarity with multi-carrier shipping systems is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum educational requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:

The role requires physical activity typical of a medium work warehouse environment, including frequent movement, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting items over 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work setting is typical of a warehouse, with occasional exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures. There may also be exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
