Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage front desk operations, and support the daily activities of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general information to visitors, students, and faculty via telephone, in person, or in writing.
  • Greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate staff or faculty member, and manage the flow of visitors to the office.
  • Answer and direct calls to the appropriate staff member, take messages, and forward calls to voicemails.
  • Sort and distribute mail, perform light typing duties, and complete general clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of receptionist or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
