Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room reservations, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming smile, and provide assistance with arrival and departure from the hotel.
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand guests' requests, and respond with appropriate action.
  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming pertinent details such as room rate and number of guests.
  • Promote our hotel's brand and marketing programs, and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods, and handle cash, make change, and balance the house bank.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer, and respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Close guest accounts at time of check-out, and ensure that all necessary information is collected and processed.
  • Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, and college degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office, and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
