Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register guests, assign rooms, and handle guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity and discretion.
  • Deal with guest complaints and requests in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Answer and route calls, take guest messages, and maintain accurate records.
  • Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during shift.
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and travel directions.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
  • Offer and properly handle requests for wake-up calls.
  • Record pertinent guest information in the pass on log.
  • Follow hotel's property-specific Night Auditor checklist.
  • Ensure hotel safety and security by making sure front doors are locked and secure at the appropriate hour.
  • Run end-of-day night audit reports in the hotel's PMS system.
  • Send in required reports to the corporate office.
  • Leave copies of required reports in the General Manager's box.
  • Deliver express check-out receipts.
  • Set up breakfast bar in the morning according to brand standards and under direction from the General Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and common areas.
  • Perform laundry functions as directed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
