Heavy-Duty Diesel Equipment Technician

The Heavy-Duty Diesel Equipment Technician is a key member of our maintenance team responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our diesel equipment fleet. This critical role requires exceptional mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance tasks within company standards to ensure optimal equipment efficiency and extend lifespan
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- Three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both
- Two years of verifiable hands-on experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification or both
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills related to equipment repairs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively interact with co-workers and drivers
