Job Summary

**Job Title:** Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Psychiatric Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Turning Point Community Programs. As a key member of our community mental health team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our members, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to members, including vital sign measurement, basic hygiene, and administration of prescribed medications.
  • Teach members and peers about health issues, medications, and side effects.
  • Support other Turning Point facilities as needed, providing medical assistance and expertise.
  • Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
  • Utilize good infection control procedures and maintain current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Ensure valid licensure as LVN or LPT and adhere to State licensing standards.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary health conferences and facilitate individual and group therapeutic activities.
  • Administer annual TB testing and flu shots, and give injections and perform blood draws as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician
  • Valid and current First Aid/CPR certification
  • California driver's license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and,
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
