Role Overview:
The Patient Services Coordinator at HealthNet Inc. plays a crucial role in delivering a range of services to patients from their initial contact through various healthcare settings. This position is dedicated to ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and providing equitable access to individuals of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing incoming calls from patients and referring providers.
- Evaluate patient needs to determine if triage by a healthcare professional is necessary and schedule appointments accordingly.
- Accurately complete patient registrations and pre-registrations.
- Schedule appointments and provide clear directions to health center locations.
- Assist patients in arranging transportation through their insurance providers when required.
- Distribute educational materials to patients, ensuring clarity while excluding clinical information.
- Collect and enter data related to patient visits and no-show occurrences.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with typical hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, including one weekday until 8 PM and a rotation of Saturday shifts.

Work Environment:
This role is primarily remote; however, due to training requirements, candidates must reside in Indiana, preferably in the Indianapolis area. Training will take place at a designated health center, and some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in medical coding, including ICD-10 and CPT coding.

- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to manage high call volumes effectively.
- Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
- Proficiency in interacting with a diverse patient population.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of insurance information and medical terminology is advantageous.
- Reliable transportation may be required.
