Job Overview

Operations:

· Enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and support growth initiatives.

· Take charge of engineering responsibilities in optimizing production processes.

· Support production teams in troubleshooting, including data collection and analysis.

· Create digital tools to boost site efficiency.

· Aid in identifying, developing, and executing capital projects aimed at improving safety, compliance, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

· Manage and report on plant maintenance budgets and expenditures.

· Identify and implement initiatives to lower costs and energy consumption while enhancing productivity.

· Spearhead process optimization efforts in collaboration with other departments.

· Lead continuous improvement activities, including root cause analysis and predictive maintenance.

· Direct Six Sigma initiatives for the maintenance team and engage with Site Teams.

Maintenance and Project Engineering:

· Ensure the plant operates at peak performance.

· Supervise maintenance personnel, inventory management, procurement, and computer systems.

· Act as Project Manager for various plant projects.

· Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including flowsheets, plot plans, electrical schematics, and mechanical integrity records.

· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for project execution.

· Drive the Preventive Maintenance and Inspection programs; lead all Engineering Integrity Testing activities.

· Ensure timely completion of maintenance quality assurance and quality control activities.

· Oversee compliance with SOX and ISO standards related to maintenance.

· Direct all site maintenance operations.

· Ensure full implementation and utilization of SAP PM and Maintenance Information systems.

· Apply structured problem-solving techniques and analytical tools to enhance product quality.

Environmental Health & Safety:

· Our primary goal is to ensure every employee returns home safely.

· Actively foster a culture of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) across the site through engagement and participation in EHS Committees.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management standards, including Management of Change protocols.

· Participate in Process Hazard Analysis reviews and facility improvements as the site Management of Change Coordinator.

· Engage in EHS incident investigations and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.

· Contribute to the creation and implementation of environmental programs and regulations; assist in data tracking for permit compliance.

· Recommend methods for waste reduction and process modifications to minimize waste generation.

Team Development:

· Continuously support the growth and development of the team that drives site operations.

· Assist in safety, environmental, and technical training initiatives.

· Acknowledge strong performance and provide constructive feedback as necessary.

· Encourage professional growth through actionable feedback during annual performance evaluations.

· Participate in 360-degree feedback processes; engage in Leadership Development meetings; serve on the Site Leadership Team; support and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

· Present key performance indicators to leadership; collaborate effectively with production staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

· Engage in alignment of unit goals with those of the organization.

Qualifications:

v Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3-5+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or refinery environment.

v Proven ability to prioritize safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene regulations in daily operations.

v Strong interpersonal skills to engage site associates and collaborate with team members at all organizational levels.

v Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills across all work aspects.

v Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative.

v Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire associates throughout their work processes.

v Proven track record of driving associate alignment and accountability.
