Job Summary:

C & F Mortgage is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business relationships with realtors, builders, and other professionals to generate new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for interviewing customers to determine their needs and advising them on the best loan products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with inquiries and information requests, and resolve inquiries relating to loan products and services offered.
Interview applicants and request specific information for loan applications and enter data into origination software.
Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property for the loan to determine feasibility of loan options and loan program requirements.
Compile loan packages and provide applicants with information, such as rates, terms, fees, and other credit terms.
Correspond with applicants to resolve questions regarding application information, and request documentation or information to improve the loan application process.

Requirements:

5-7 years of mortgage loan origination experience.
Analytical skills, including collecting and researching data, and using intuition and experience to complement data.
Problem-solving skills, including identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner, and developing alternative solutions.
Excellent customer service skills, including managing difficult or emotional customer situations, and responding promptly to customer needs.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have NMLS. Certain states require licensing. Experience in origination/processing of FHA, VA, other government and Conventional loans.
