At Fluor, we're seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our material management team, you'll be responsible for handling critical project materials within established plans, policies, and procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.

Job Summary

This position serves as a senior purchasing project team member who handles critical project material within established Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in EPCM industry with capital projects, familiarity with Fluor processes, procedures, and systems, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

In this role, you'll manage entire RFQ life cycles, negotiate terms and conditions, review project scope of work and prime contracts, and incorporate standard Fluor procurement procedures and commercial strategies in the procurement of goods for the project. You'll also align with construction teams to determine site purchasing requirements and responsibilities, coordinate staffing of purchasing functions, and interact with project material managers, discipline leads, and clients on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage entire RFQ life cycle (bidder selection, RFQ issuance, negotiations, award, post-award, close-out)
  • Negotiate terms and conditions
  • Review project scope of work and prime contracts
  • Incorporate standard Fluor procurement procedures and commercial strategies in the procurement of goods for the project
  • Align with construction teams to determine site purchasing requirements and responsibilities
  • Coordinate staffing of purchasing functions
  • Interact with project material managers, discipline leads, and clients on a daily basis

**Salary:** $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
