Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Custom Framing Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building relationships with customers, and creating memorable framing solutions for their art.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Execute Company policies and standards, including delivering sales and production results, completing framing orders with high quality and on time, and maintaining the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas.
  • Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they are looking for, and provide a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers to shop.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, support shrink and safety programs, and interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards, acknowledge customers, help locate product, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
  • Preferred: Retail experience, experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment

Our public retail store setting is climate-controlled, with some stock rooms and outdoor areas that may not be climate-controlled. You will be required to move throughout the store, remain standing for long periods, and lift heavy boxes and frames. If you need help performing these functions, please contact your supervisor to discuss reasonable accommodations.
