About Kamatics Corporation

Kamatics Corporation, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, is seeking a highly skilled Associate Accounting Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconcile various general ledger accounts, and analyze accounting transactions to ensure proper classification.
  • Revenue Recognition: Book sales and profit in accordance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Cash Management: Process and reconcile cash receipts from lockbox deposits, ACH, and wire transfers to the ledger.
  • Accounts Receivable: Research and resolve issues such as short payments, overpayments, and payments without remittance instructions.
  • Cash Distribution: Support cash distribution processes and ensure timely and accurate payment to customers.
  • Credit and Collections: Collect accounts receivable balances, work with management to analyze new and existing customer credit history, and recommend terms or changes in terms.
  • Special Projects: May work on special projects or assignments from other company businesses as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of U.S. GAAP, familiarity with revenue recognition regulations, and basic credit and collections knowledge.
  • Skills: Intermediate data entry skills, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (e.g. V-Look Up and Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Good organizational skills, detail orientation, good interpersonal skills, and ability to use good judgment and discretion.
