Job Title: ESOL Para I MS

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ESOL Para I MS to join our team at Alachua County Public Schools.

Job Summary:

The ESOL Para I MS will provide instructional support to students in a classroom setting, assisting teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff, and possess a strong commitment to student success.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide instructional support to students in a classroom setting, assisting teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  2. Assist teachers with classroom management, including supervising students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and ensuring student engagement.
  3. Support students with special needs, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and students who require additional academic support.
  4. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  5. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff, using clear and concise language to convey information and resolve conflicts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the ESOL Para I MS must:

  1. Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  2. Be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  3. Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Have experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting.
  5. Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
