Position Overview:
The incumbent will utilize advanced knowledge of regulatory principles, practices, and methodologies to lead the Regulatory Division.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Chief of the Regulatory Division, the individual will oversee a team of approximately 60 professionals, including engineers, biologists, scientists, program managers, and administrative staff, through subordinate supervisors. The role involves managing the division's functions across four branches and serving as the principal technical authority and advisor within the district.

Collaboration:
This position requires effective coordination with various district elements, local stakeholders, state agencies, and other federal entities to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including the ability to obtain a local state driver's license and complete a background investigation. A Financial Disclosure Statement is mandatory, and temporary duty travel may be required.

Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must have relevant education and experience, including:

  • Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
  • Department of Defense (DOD) Civilian Employees
  • Military Spouses and other unique authorities

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as biological sciences, environmental engineering, or related disciplines. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Specialized Experience:
Applicants should have at least one year of specialized experience supervising complex regulatory programs, reviewing permits, and engaging with various stakeholders.

Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on their competencies in Environmental Documentation, Environmental Law and Regulatory Compliance, and Leadership.
