Marketing and Communications Director

The Pueblo West Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Director to lead our marketing initiatives and membership growth. In this role, you will coordinate the sales and maintenance of membership packages, build strong relationships with current and potential clients, and drive the overall success of the Chamber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative: Manage the Google Calendar for appointments, projects, and visits.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create and update Bylaws and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance the Chamber's mission.
  • Assist in membership development and service programs.
  • Generate weekly Progress & Status Reports and newsletters for the Board and members.
  • Oversee the Chamber's budget and monthly financial reporting.
  • Attend and report on progress at monthly Board meetings.

Marketing:
  • Develop and manage marketing materials, campaigns, and signage.
  • Maintain positive relationships with members and local agencies.
  • Document contact information in Chamber Master database.

Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Coordinator to address member needs.
  • Oversee the Membership Coordinator to ensure seamless event facilitation.

Events:
  • Act as Event Coordinator for all Chamber events.
  • Market, sell, and manage event sponsorships.
  • Coordinate educational programs to enhance members' skills.
  • Attend and execute Chamber and member-sponsored events.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in marketing/advertising with experience managing a small team.
  • Skills: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire teamwork, Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively, Proficient in common computer software and typing, Knowledge of business practices and the local economic landscape.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check, Flexibility to attend scheduled events and adhere to timelines, Reliable transportation.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform tasks requiring physical activity (sitting, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds).
