Position Overview

The Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in the management of supplier invoices and the accurate issuance of customer invoices. This position is vital for ensuring the satisfaction of both suppliers and customers at Land O'Lakes, Inc. Candidates who thrive in a collaborative environment while also being capable of independent work will excel in this role. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.

Work Schedule

The typical work schedule consists of 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, Monday through Friday) and includes eligibility for benefits. Overtime may be necessary on occasion.

Employees are required to be present in the office a minimum of 2 designated days per week, with the option for remote work for the remaining 3 days after the initial training period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain document retention for sales contracts, purchase agreements, BOL, and DocuSign tasks.
    • Generate reports as needed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
    • Participate in phone rotation for customer service inquiries.
    • Distribute ACH payment remittances.
    • Update BOL for truck and rail orders, ensuring FAST is updated with the necessary information and documents are retained and distributed appropriately.
    • Engage with a diverse range of individuals across various departments.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Invoicing Responsibilities:
    • Process supplier invoices for direct shipments and generate customer invoices for both the USA and Canada.
    • Manage and oversee direct ship payables.
    • Ensure a turnaround time of 2 business days for direct ship invoicing.
    • Develop a foundational understanding of supplier B2B for automated invoicing.
    • Gain insight into automated invoicing for terminals owned and leased by Land O'Lakes.
    • Act as a backup for daily download processing tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; at least 1 year of experience in administrative or accounts payable roles is preferred, though an associate's degree is not mandatory.

The hourly wage is dependent on experience.
