Job Summary

The Grants Specialist will provide administrative management for several state-funded grant projects. The Grants Specialist is responsible for grant management as well as planning, procurement, training, and travel coordination for members of the projects. This position requires frequent communication and coordination between agencies throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage training and initiatives to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop new outreach initiatives and public awareness campaigns to promote grant-funded projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for developing new and fostering current public/private partnerships to support grant-funded initiatives.
  • Plan and organize regularly scheduled meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and develop documentation, including standard operating procedures and memorandums of understanding, to support grant-funded projects.
  • Ensure proficiency in grant requirements, systems, and reporting, including familiarity with Grants Management System.
  • Sustain current grant funding by managing quarterly reporting, continuation proposals, general accounting, and budgetary changes.
  • Coordinate with the Central Management Office regarding grant funding, procurement, and documentation.
Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple schedules and events, and interface with other organizations professionally.
