Position Summary:

As a FSRI Clinician - Trauma-Informed Schools Specialist, you will provide trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth, and their caregivers as a resource to assigned schools through the Trauma-Informed Schools Grant.

Collaborate with schools to ensure care coordination on behalf of clients and families. Coordinate care with case managers, psychiatric teams, and other service providers to ensure best client care. Provide emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed. Work as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based practices with fidelity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth, and their caregivers
  • Collaborate with schools to ensure care coordination on behalf of clients and families
  • Coordinate care with case managers, psychiatric teams, and other service providers
  • Provide emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed
  • Work as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based practices with fidelity

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required
  • Required to be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor
  • Experience working with children exposed to trauma preferred
  • Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
  • Spanish speaking required and is compensated
  • Flexible schedule with some evenings
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, registration, and auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Travel to and from clients' residence, community locations, and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs, and/or elevators
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
