Assistant Housekeeping Manager

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring the operation of the Housekeeping Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service and a clean and safe environment throughout their stay, while efficiently managing expenses and maximizing service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Housekeeping Department to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Develop and implement housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Manage and control housekeeping supplies and equipment to ensure adequate inventory and minimize waste.
- Train and develop housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and analyze housekeeping performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of housekeeping services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to housekeeping and guest services.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interactions with guests, employees, and other departments. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
