Job Summary

This position requires a high level of independence to investigate, gather information, and adjust personal and commercial automobile and/or property losses. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind and be able to interpret and apply multiple policies and multi-jurisdictional claim handling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust property losses, including homeowner and commercial property claims
• Develop and maintain a working relationship with industry professionals and provide technical support
• Participate in training and development of other claims personnel
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
• Negotiate with customers, contractors, and representatives for proper repairs in a safe and cost-effective manner

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience
• 6 years of experience in property adjusting, or Associates Degree equivalent plus 8 years
• General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within the field of work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make prompt and accurate decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with others
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
