Parts Coordinator

As a Parts Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying, locating, and obtaining parts to meet customer needs. This role will be located at the Houston, Texas branch for MGX Equipment Services and report to the Parts Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain inventory control and ensure accurate tracking of parts.
  • Research and order parts for customers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Provide phone and email correspondence to customers regarding quotes and diagrams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of experience within a Parts or Service department.
  • Experience in the heavy equipment or construction industry preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills with a customer/client focus.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
  • Travel may be required 5% of the time or less.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

This position will be located in both an office and warehouse environment, with considerable exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
