Job Overview

Bonneville Builders is a leading general contractor based in the Salt Lake City and St. George areas, renowned for its commitment to project excellence and team growth. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, overseeing all phases of project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to finalize project budgets, estimates, bids, negotiations, reports, permits, and procurement processes.
  • Organize and conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Implement and maintain safety standards and quality assurance controls on each project.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress or schedule, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Review and ensure the Request for Information (RFI) Log is current, and follow up to ensure record drawings and as-builts are updated and maintained.
  • Maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors to foster future opportunities and successful project completion.
  • Participate in management, weekly project, and safety meetings, performance evaluation meetings, and regular staff meetings.
  • Coordinate, document, and manage construction projects from subcontractor payments, SWPP plans, safety procedures, to final punch lists and final payment in a timely manner and according to project schedule.
  • Mentor and encourage subordinate growth and development, promoting a positive team environment.
  • Work with the project team to establish goals and develop accountability.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct performance evaluations and reports of staff members.
  • Seek input from staff on how to improve processes, projects, and the company as a whole.
  • Manage project finances, including risk exposure processes, properly coded purchases, subcontractor supplements, and change order processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a team of individuals and leading them to success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to address a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, plans, construction documents, contract documents, and specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, with a proactive and deadline-oriented approach.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
  • General knowledge of LEED principles.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools, with proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, and the ability to navigate and/or use CAD software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience on commercial projects.
  • HUD project experience is preferred but not required.
