Integrated Pavement Solutions (IPS) is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead the research and development of our Manufacturing Test Technologies portfolio. The successful candidate will drive innovation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership in project management, overseeing the execution of diverse projects across the IPS portfolio.
- Oversee formula cost optimization and raw material qualification programs, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Identify and establish key technical relationships with industry organizations, such as ASTM and AASHTO.
- Support customer complaint investigations and provide technical support for project scale-up from R&D to manufacturing.
- Conduct competitive analysis and provide insights to product management.
- Communicate effectively with senior R&D leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in external industry organizations to provide influence and collect information.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or similar concentration.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior R&D leadership position with a demonstrated track record in generating revenue growth.
- Overall 8+ year work history in the Asphalt Emulsion industry in a technical capacity.
- History of a commercially motivated approach to R&D with a willingness to think outside the box.
- Demonstrated ability to lead efforts in converting complex scientific concepts to manufacturing and commercialization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others while fostering a productive working environment.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, read, write, talk, and hear.
Work Environment:The employee typically works in a laboratory and professional office environment.
