Job Summary:

As a Workstation Specialist Intermediate with the State of Tennessee, you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of workstation computers and related software. This role involves providing problem resolution for users with hardware, software, and application issues, as well as performing installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software. You will also be responsible for maintaining records of computer, peripheral equipment, and related devices to ensure accurate inventory of all issued equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides problem resolution for users with hardware, software, and application issues
• Performs installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software
• Maintains records of computer, peripheral equipment, and related devices to ensure accurate inventory of all issued equipment
• Coordinates with agencies on the delivery or pick-up of desktop computers and/or peripheral equipment

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the maintenance of computer hardware, or the correction of other related system operations problems for computer system hardware
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to complete a criminal history disclosure form in a manner approved by the appointing authority
• Ability to supply a fingerprint sample in a manner prescribed by the TBI for a fingerprint-based criminal history records check

Working Conditions:

This position requires regular bending and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds. The position will have an option for remote work, but the employee will work onsite 90% of the time.
