Job Summary

As a Senior Control Systems Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, you will serve as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls, receiving requests, transmitting messages, and dispatching personnel with minimal guidance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize calls, dispatch personnel, and coordinate a resolution of issues.
  • Activate emergency response protocols when required.
  • Monitor and coordinate building automation systems.
  • Assist with routine preventive maintenance and alarm testing.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Safety (Intermediate): Knowledge of and attentiveness to safety as well as compliance with the rules regarding safety.
  • Computer/Electronic Knowledge (Novice): Knowledge of the use of applications and tasks on computers and other electronic devices as part of regular work responsibilities.
  • Emergency Planning (Intermediate): Ability to anticipate resource needs and then arrange, prioritize, and shape activities to meet objectives.
  • Customer Service (Intermediate): A continuing focus on the needs and requirements of customers, anticipating their needs, remaining sensitive to customers while performing services for them, responsive to customer needs.
