Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician I

At the Hispanic Health Council, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinician I to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Clinician I serves as a vital part of our Behavioral Health unit, providing a range of services to meet the social and emotional needs of our clients. Under the supervision of our experienced team, you will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to clients with mental health and substance abuse issues
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care frameworks
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • One year of clinical counseling experience in general patient care, including crisis intervention
  • Valid DPH associate license to practice under direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with mental health populations
  • Bilingual - Spanish
