Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct professional nursing care to patients with behavioral health concerns, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in behavioral health nursing.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.
Requirements
  • Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Minimum of two years' clinical experience in pediatrics and/or behavioral health setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
