Job Title: Behavioral Health Nurse

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients and families, promoting a safe and supportive environment for all.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct professional nursing care to patients with behavioral health concerns, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and address complex patient needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in behavioral health care.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure is required.
  • Minimum of two years' clinical experience in pediatrics and/or behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child & infant is required.
  • Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by department.
