Delta Scientific is looking for a motivated self-starter Engineer Apprentice to assist the electrical engineering team design, program, and test for delivery of anti-terrorist vehicle barricade systems.
Candidate should be well-versed in low voltage electrical wiring, basic programming, and should understand basic electrical circuit design. Candidate should be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working between engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure products are manufactured to quality standards, client’s specifications, and project timelines
- Support Delta’s engineering team through various hands-on means
- Experience with electrical circuitry and low voltage power is required
- Experience with mechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic systems is helpful
- PLC programming skills a plus
- Knowledge of basic repair of hydraulic and electric apparatus is a plus
- Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to work with a team to achieve a common goal with quickly changing job duties daily.
Experience in any one or more of the following is required:
- Programmable logic controllers, automotive, motorsports or aviation mechanics, electrical contracting, machine repair or mechanical/civil engineering construction experience and/or electrical drafting.
Starting Salary dependent upon experience with OT possibilities
