About the Role

Metropolitan College of New York is seeking a highly motivated Recruitment and Admissions Specialist to join our team. As a Primary Designated School Official, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations related to international students studying in the US. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Primary Designated School Official, representing the college to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State, including the issuing of I-20 documents and maintenance of SEVIS records.
  • Advise international students and visiting scholars on immigration regulations, including SEVIS registration, personal information updates, Work Authorization CPT and OPT.
  • Monitor all active international students, whether in-school or off-campus work activities, including 12 months after program completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) plus one year of experience as a PDSO and three years of experience working in Admissions Department of higher education institution.
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be MS Office proficient and have experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work independently.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual base salary range of $62K to $68K, commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment and admissions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
