KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to a member of the Executive team, this role involves performing advanced administrative tasks that support the organization in various areas, including procurement, contract oversight, compliance reporting, budget management, and internal/external communications. The position requires oversight of administrative contracts and coordination of Board and committee meetings. Flexibility is essential as responsibilities and priorities may shift, often involving sensitive information.

EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma plus additional training equivalent to two years of college, which may include specialized knowledge or lead to licensure (data processing, accounting, human services), or completion of a formal apprenticeship program.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years and up to four years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; effectively collaborates with staff, contractors, and Board members through various communication channels.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and build consensus.
  • Proficient in preparing business correspondence.
  • Experienced in standard office administrative tasks and procedures, including the use of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word, SharePoint).
  • Capable of performing complex administrative tasks requiring independent judgment.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and applications relevant to the office and organizational unit.
  • Skilled in analyzing and resolving administrative and procedural challenges.
  • Proficient in conducting research and preparing reports and recommendations.
  • Experience in overseeing projects or programs and supervising volunteers and temporary staff as directed.
  • Ability to organize work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Utilizes initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license, current no-fault insurance, and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, with a willingness to travel as needed.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
