Job Description:

We're looking for a highly skilled Strategic Technical Project Director to lead our medical development and embedded development projects. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex technical projects, leveraging your strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and project management experience to drive projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Develop and Manage Project Plans: Create detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Track Progress and Identify Risks: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and obstacles, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on track.
  • Manage Project Budgets: Ensure cost-effectiveness and manage project budgets.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and Motivate Project Teams: Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment, leading and motivating project teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Facilitate Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and coordination between team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Resolve Conflicts and Address Issues: Resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure Team Success: Ensure team members have the necessary resources and support to fulfill their roles.

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep Understanding of Medical Development: Demonstrate a deep understanding of medical development and embedded development processes and technologies.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  • Review Technical Deliverables: Review technical deliverables and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide Regular Updates and Reports: Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage Expectations: Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Organizational Excellence:

  • Utilize Strong Organizational Skills: Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prioritize Tasks Effectively: Prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Maintain Accurate Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Implement Process Improvements: Implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: 7 years of experience in technical project management with a focus on medical development and embedded development projects.

Certifications: PMP or other project management certifications are preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Remote work is not available for this position.
